Mosaics Party
From the famous Santa Maria mosaics in Venice to the floors in Cyprus, mosaics are a classic art form that has been revered for centuries.  Join us on Saturday, May 15, for a relaxing afternoon workshop on this impressive, but easy to learn art form.

We’ll sit in a shaded garden and show you how to create a mirror, picture frame or tray.  All materials and tools are provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own found objects (broken china, tile, beads, jewelry, seashells, rocks/pebbles, etc.) to incorporate into the mosaic if you like.

No art or mosaic experience necessary!

Since the adhesive needs to dry overnight, we'll meet again the following day to grout the pieces or provide you with the supplies to finish grouting your piece on your own.

Light snacks and beverages provided.

Gold Rush Party

Turn your GOLD into GREEN to support O’Dowd

It’s not magic, it’s a party and here are the rules. Pull out your gold jewelry…anything that you’d like to exchange for dollars. While you and your friends “nash” on fine wine and delicious hors d’oeuvres in the beautiful Upper Rockridge home of Aileen and John Dolby, a professional gold buyer from Aurum Strategies LLC will analyze your gold.

There’s no obligation to sell…It’s a private opportunity, between you and the expert, to establish what your gold jewelry is worth. No pressure, it’s your decision.  Do I keep my gold or take advantage of the $1,000 an ounce (or the going rate when the party is held) benchmark? Bring your gold earrings, broken chains and anything that you think might be gold. Aurum will be donating 10% of the dollars raised at the party to O’Dowd. You’ll have the option to donate your windfall back, too! That’s 20% for the school and it’s a “win-win” for everyone. $25 per person, maximum 15.

Sunday, May 23, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Date TBD.
